I own the Pendulum MDP-1 - I like it.
However, I've always wondered (fantasized) about the D.W. Fearn VT-2.
I almost purchased the D.W. Fearn but went with the Pendulum since the gentleman (not Fletcher) who sold it to me at Mercenary told me I could save some money - so I took his advice and I've had the Pendulum for a few years now.
My applications are piano - classical and new age. Vocals and strings.
Other gear I used is the Mellenia Media HV-3, DPA 4006, 414's (sound great in cardiod with the Pendulum on piano), and Royer 121 and 122 mics.
So will there be a big difference in flavor with the Fearn?
