Default Question for Lynn about mic shootout

    Lynn,
You've probably answered this before, but I coudn't find it on any threads: what was the recording environment for the vocals? A full vocal booth? A corner of the recording studio? If a vocal booth, was this something you constructed or were you using someone else's?
    Thanks in advance!

I thought there were pictures in the CD book but I don't remember for sure.

Three huge foam "walls" surrounded the singer (foam blocks that are 4' x 4' x 1' were stacked two high for each) creating an isolated space for the singer to stand within. The intention was to minimize room reflections.

    Default Thanks Lynn

If you don't mind one more question, were the ceilings and floors treated?
    Thanks again.

Floor was thin carpeting, just the kind you roll out to keep from hearing singers tap their feet.

Ceilings were treated with deflectors, but they were there already not specifically for this project.

I did find this picture online, but it doesn't show a lot. Those pictures were taken with a 35mm camera on slide film and only the images we chose to use for the artwork were scanned or I could post more.
