    Default Awesome DAWSUM Samples

    This set of audio files allows you to listen to 29 different mixing platforms, including DAWs, digital mixers, and analog mixers using identical source soundfiles matched at identical levels. This set contains 30 stereo 24-bit/48K wave files, so you can compare them head to head on your own computer. You decide how much difference you can hear.     Included platforms were Paris, PT LE, PTHD 5-OS9, PT6 OS-X, PT Mix+ 5.1.1 on OS9, Fairlight, Paris, Logic 5.5 OS9, Digital Performer, Soundscape, Logic 5 OS-X, Nuendo, Pyramix, SAW, Studio Vision Pro, Cubase, Sonar, Vegas, Cool Edit Pro, Samplitude, Sony DMX-R100 (hw mixer), Panasonic DA7 (hw mixer), Yamaha 02R96 (hw mixer), Tascam DM 24 (hw mixer), Sony Oxford (hw mixer), and analog consoles SSL 9000J, Trident 24, Yamaha PM-2000, Manley 16x2, Dangerous 2-bus.

    Note: This downloadable version includes the unity gain samples but does not include Disc B, which has the fader-moved, gain-changed versions which are available only with the DAWSUM CD purchase.

    That's a large file! Still, I'm very curious about the spec's of the 29 different mixing platforms. I'm especially interested in the analog mixers. Is there a list I can look at anywhere?
