Digi chat about the PT and Studer testing

Figured I'd post this where no one would miss who might be interested.

    Wednesday night at 9:30 eastern.

Mixerman has been "summoned" by Prosound Web's bosses and Digi to explain himself live. Supposedly Digi is moderating and selecting questions from "viewers."

    It all goes down at:
    chat.prosoundweb.com

Hopefully this isn't some publicity stunt for Prosound Web....but it has been said that Digi is running the show.

This sounds so UN-Digi-like. I will be very surprised if anyone from Digi shows up. If they were participating, I would suspect that they would want it on their own turf.

I may be there, but I suspect that MM and his PSW followers will turn it into a Digi-Flogfest.

    Should be interesting.

Yep...its a prosoundweb deal. Come to find out, digi is not involved directly. I'm trying to find out if DUC people pressured PSWeb people to do something about Mixerman stirring up such a ruckus.

It's definitely publicity...we'll see if it takes the high road or low road.

Did anyone show up for this EVENT?

I never heard anything about it.

The official explanation: It got cancelled when a "real" session got booked at the studio where it was supposed to be held.

Reading between the lines: This test is obviously not important enough or of sufficient interest to book "real" studio time for. It sure made for a long thread over at DUC, though!

Perhaps they'll try again during another lull in the action.

Oops, I was talking about that PT vs. Neve vs. Radar test.

Mixerman did have a live chat at PSW. I think they have a transcript of it up there. There was no apparent participation by Digidesign. The substance of the live chat was similar in content and tone to Mixerman's forum at PSW.

Did they deal with the Studer vs. PT thing at all? I guess it's hard to draw conclusions when you don't have any concrete data.

I suspect their test may be a long time coming....
