    Default Great teaching resources

I'm going to bookmark resources on the web that would be good for teaching about audio. Feel free to add others you think would be helpful for teaching fundamentals of audio.

A hearing test. (Brought to my attention by Mike Derrick. http://www.3daudioinc.com/3db/showpo...06&postcount=4)

    Lynn:

    DPA's Microphone University \http://www.dpamicrophones.com/en/Mic...niversity.aspx

Is an absolute must in my opinion. I have a lot more in my BlackBoard site that I'll hunt around for you - after teaching for 12 years I've accumulated a lot of links...

    Default Grounding, Hum/Buzz, Balanced/Unbalanced connections

Grounding, Hum/Buzz, Balanced/Unbalanced connections, troubleshooting noise in systems and separating fact from fiction:

Bill Whitlock has the rare ability to explain technical issues to non-technical people in a clear and useful way. Also his presentations at AES have been great.

As always, a great paper from JJ. A little technical and he does throw H(s) around like every audio engineer knows what it is. Even takes some oblique shots at audiophiles in there.

    Highly recommended.

This duplicates some of the material, iirc:

More on that lousy microphone in our heads:
