Since I listened on radio, I did not hear the TV commentators. Funny thing I just heard on youtube.com on the interception by Porter. One of the guys is saying, if I was the Saints, then I would drop back and not blitz. Talking about getting slapped in the face with a 74 yard interception.

Yeah, he got burned on that one. I always hated when the Lions did that, went into the Wayne Fontes "prevent" defense while holding onto a lead near the end of a game and watching the opposition march down and score.

I say you should play the same way that got you the lead in the first place. Play to win instead of playing not to lose. The Saint's defensive coordinator played that series to win... but of course... much like the on side kick that worked, if Manning burns them for a TD on that blitz call then the analyst is a genius.

I agree with previous comments - very enjoyable game. This was one of the better Superbowl games.

A well-known football TV commentator (I think it was John Madden) once said something along the lines of, "I hate that prevent defense. All it does is prevent you from winning."

My brother, a long time Saints fan, moaned and groaned all year about how the press were obsessing over the Colts and praising Manning while virtually ignoring New Orleans's great season. Well he can finally say "I told you so"!

That was a great game and the best ten bucks I ever spent...
