Doug, as one who has followed Crash's ups and downs here, I'm so sorry he's gone. Peace will come in time.

Thank you, though, for all your posts, reminding me to appreciate those around me.

I'm going to go hug my dogs now. I may even hug the cats.

I'm not hugging the fish though.

Doug, I just read this. Tears are streaming down my face. I share your pain. Prayers sent.

Thanks again to everyone. It's been almost a week. A very hard, post traumatic stress kinda' week. I keep reliving the whole thing. I brought his ashes home yesterday. Somehow I feel like he is home with us again. Maybe next week will be a bit easier. Muffin is really depressed now as well and her meningitis condition that we nursed her through last spring/summer started flaring up again early last week. We almost lost her too. She's OK now but it was close. The vet said that with a bonded pair of animals like this, the mate can react like this and follow very quickly. That almost happened. I don't know if I could have handled it. I've got a lot on my plate right now. My 87 year old mom is in declining health and my wife has been having to take Coumadin for a blood clot in her leg. It's a very dangerous situation for her. I wake up each day and wonder what's going to happen next and I've been stressing a bit so thanks for the prayers and good wishes. They are truly appreciated.

Sorry to hear about all these other issues as well. Your wife and mother are in our prayers.
Am I the only one without a small type signature?
