    Default FS: Buzz Audio MA-2

    Buzz Audio MA2 - $1300

Two channel mic pre, full Class A. This is one of Tim Farrant's early models. In excellent functioning and cosmetic shape. Has separate power unit. Incredible sound. 64dB gain in 41 steps, phase reverse switch, 20dB pad, 48V phantom power and a overload peak light.

This preamp has a history here at 3dB and I'm hoping someone here will continue the legacy.

If you missed the sweet deal Brian was offering but you still have the urge to get one of those rare early Buzz Audio preamps of which there were only 50, I have one of the few first units to hit North American soil. This is a work of art is both craftsmanship and sound delivery. I've been gnawing on the idea of keeping this beauty, so I may change my mind, but for now it's still for sale.

Well I did keep it, but now it's for sale again.

    $1300 US.

Will ship to Canada and USA,...possibly elsewhere, message me.

Would be shipping from Canada, V3Z 2W5

So tempting, especially since I just moved next to Vancouver...ugh. If only it weren't for all these stupid customs and import fees I have to deal with!

    Hi,

Great to have you up in the NorthWest! What amount of customs and import fees would you be hit with crossing the line from Canada into the USA?

And is there a difference if you physically pick it up and bring it back into the States?

I know that for the reverse (me bringing personally bringing something from USA into Canada) I can avoid some fees by bringing gear across the line in person.

Anyhow, I live quite close to the border (5 minute drive), if that might of help somehow...

Well, there is pretty much a one-time "free pass" you get when landing in Canada. I can take everything I want without taxes, as long as it's done within the confines of that single, "official" crossing. After that, virtually everything I take from the States is taxed.

The only exception was my car--I had to pay about $1000 the other day to get my plates since they decided (seemingly arbitrarily) that I should have been taxed for it upon entering Canada. Sigh. Guess that health care has to come from somewhere, eh?

I take it you're close to Surrey/Whiterock then?
