Thread: Mic Budget=$3,500 For Vocals+Ac Gtr+ Piano - Recommendations?

    (sorry...I didn't catch you wanted to record 2 sources at the same time...)

    You could do a lot worse than a pair of AT4033s and a pair Josephson C42s

    Thank you your replies.
    To clarify my desired capabilities: 2 of the specified sources at the same time, and would like to be able to employ the M-S stereo technique. This means that at least one of the mics needs to be capable of a figure-8 pattern.
    For example: M-S stereo mics on the piano, plus a vocal mic. Or, 2 mics on an acoustic gtr plus a vocal mic. (With these mics I don't intend to record 2 sources in stereo at the same time. So, 3 mics are required,not 4).
