To bring conclusion to this thread, I pulled the trigger on FCPX. I found the work flow and file management structure / library structure more appealing. That and going through Adobe's atrocious website was enough to rob my remaining interest in the products. I truly believe that they have one of the worst websites on the whole web!

You certainly have my sympathies...I find the hardest part of any software is just knowing where to look for stuff, then finding other commands for things you had no idea existed. I'm reminded of a post in which Lynn admitted to recently discovering the 'clear solo/mute' features in the PT transport bar, something that (at the time) I as a new PT user had known since day one...

I'm sure there are all kinds of features I have yet to learn. I learn something new almost EVERY time I'm in the studio.

Learning a new software suite is certainly taking years off my life.

Right now I'm fighting with knowing that a feature has a certain flexibility (changing the duration of a still shot within the storyline), but learning how to edit that parameter quickly and properly is driving me mad. Apparently I've done something to anger the software gods that won't allow my still shot to be over 1 second. Argh! Mad search of video forums ensues....

Yes. Apparently I need to buy a plaid shirt and grow a beard. I draw the line at eating hemp seeds.
