    Default New Audio-Technica BP40

Interesting. It should sound quite different from the Shure SM7B, well, according to the freq response graph.

10 dB up at 4K? That'll cut through a mix. I'd love to hear it.

Here are FR graphs for it and the SM7B.

I love the polar pattern on it.

It looks similar to the ATM25 which I love and use all the time.

The SM7B is great, at times. It fits my wife's voice quite well. This mic seems like it would be great on kick, toms, bass cab, or even the right vocalist. I'm certainly not opposed to hearing one.

Looks interesting. I suspect it would be worth trying out on drums. Maybe some amps that need some bite. I also have an ATM-25. It's a unique mic that certainly has its niche. But something would have to be pretty special to replace it.
Am I the only one without a small type signature?

It is an odd pattern. The off axis pattern at 5K is very wide--hotter at 60 degrees than at the front.
