    Default Slate Raven MTi2?

Interesting now that it supports a longer list of DAW's and the price is down dramatically. How long till Apple releases a touchscreen desktop might be the real question. I see lots of people very excited about the MTi2, and others who own the MTi with a list of performance grievances. Todd said somewhere here that he'd never seen or known of anyone in Nashville owning the original, after several years of availability.

It is kind of interesting...has the product changed or the marketing?

The price dropped to less than half, it supports a bunch of new DAW's, and the control software has advanced to version 3. I haven't seen any of these in person. I don't think there's anywhere remotely close to demo one.

I know I despise an iPad for mixing. I can't imagine I would like a gigantic iPad any better!

I get this...I don't much like anything that requires me to touch the screen..and likely will never put serious $$$ or time into something that looks, acts, and feels like glorified texting box.

Which is cheaper to make - a touch sensitive screen or a regular screen with mouse/keyboard jack? (Took me a long to to accept THIS...)

Faders vs. glass screen - hahahaha - Rick Dees has refused to evolve beyond the big, round knobs from the good old days of the classic broadcast console. I grew up doing on-air work on those things. Truth be told, I still prefer the round knobs over sliders.

Round faders, that's really going the other way!

Round faders vs linear faders are much like trackballs vs mice. With a round fader, you get less fatigued due to the hand not having to move as much. It can stay put while adjusting the fader. Just can't adjust more than one or two at the same time. (Okay, I'm guessing, here. I've only used round faders at my college radio station back years ago).
