    New Waves Hardware Box

    http://news.harmony-central.com/Newp/2005/MaxxBCL.html

    Looks interesting, but it's pricey.

I really like the ren compressor.
I was just thinking the other day that it might be cool if they made a hardware IR-1.

To me this is weird at least, why would anyone buy it? OK, maybe there are possible applications, but still...

Yeah.. the plugin versions are cheaper.
It says it has transformer (Jensen) coupled analog inputs.

It looks to be tageted to live and broadcast uses.

The AD/DA in the L2 box was supposed to be pretty good.

Waves list prices are always high.

I got the Gold native bundle for about $800 and I believe it listed at $1200
The IR-1 was listed at $900 and I got it for about $450 - $500 If I recall.

    *shrug.

Still even if it was $2500 it would be very steep.
