    C414BXL-II for vocals

I only have $1000 to spend and I need a mic vocal mic that would sit pretty well on female vocals for most of my sessions. I don't like the Rode NTK or Neumann TLM103 so I was thinking about getting the C414BXL-II. What are your opions of it? Anything better you can recommend? Thanks.

I've had excellent results with my XLII with 3 female vocalists and an SCA N72. You can find them for cheaper than $1000.

Why not look at something like an AT 4060?
Am I the only one without a small type signature?

If you have any mp3s of female vocalists on this mic, would you be willing to send a snippet up here for us? Or email those interested?

    I'd be interested..

    Thanks

Pooky, good call, forgot about that one. I own a bunch of ATs so that might fit in nice. I kind of wanted to stay away from a tube mic since the tube one I am planning to get is the E49. I think I will still look inthe the 4060 too. Thanks.
