Best of luck Lynn (even if you don't believe in it)!!

CTS, Air Lyndhusrt and Abbey Rd. seem to get most of the better orchestral gigs, but aren't cheap. You may also want to check out Angel Studios (a converted church). They do a fair bit of film work and have one good room for orchestral work, I think with a Neve VR in the control room. Sony Studios(formerly Whitfield Street) also gets used a fair bit for orchestral work. Neither are perhaps quite in the Air Lyndhurst/Abbey Road league, but not far off.

I'm no longer in London but do pop down there every couple of weeks. Happy to help if you need something checking out.

Well, the Sony Scoring stage in LA is booked until nearly September and we need this done in July. So we're shopping for rooms in LA. 50-60 players on this project.

I'll believe it when I'm sitting on the plane on the way out there. It's looking very promising though.

It looks like I'll be sitting on the plane on the way out there on Sunday morning.

We are scheduled for Monday at Paramount Scoring Stage with 54 musicians. This should be fun!

Congrats Lynn! Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Enjoy LA's brown sunshine while you can!

Found them. I thought I had posted some.

    Here are some LA pix.

By the way, in an interesting (and unfortunate) turn of events, the project has already been mixed without my help. In LA, no surprise. By an assistant engineer at the producer's home studio on a Digi 001 system.

I try hard not to get discouraged. Sometimes I'm not successful.

I honestly believe it was some of my best work. Oh well.
