Microphone troubleshooting question, and, um, hi Kevin!

After not using a silver AKG 414EB for a long time, I plugged it in and, to my horror, it seems to be making a low (very, very low) and constant "rumbling" sound. It's so low that it only shows up as a signal on my board, but I can barely hear it.

    How bad is it?

And by the way, I wanted to thank you, Kevin, for your advice on an earlier thread. The all-in-one box you recommended for my budget sounds like it's going to purrrrfect, I can't wait to try it out.

    Cheers,

    -nicolas

    Nicolas,

Might not be bad at all. Let it cook for a while, and see what happens. Sometimes moisture gums up the works.
