    Calling all mixers

Ok folks there have been some recent developments in mixtravaganza. Devin now has in his possession the song we are going to mix. This involved alot more work than was originally anticipated, so thanks to Devin for that.
Unfortunately the recording has been added to since he was involved and is now at a bigger track count than the 24 tracks that most folks felt they could deal with. Devin has graciously offerred to do a small sub mix to get it down to the 24 track count.
However things have dragged on quite awhile and I'd like to know if you all are still up for the exercise, before I ask Devin (whom is very busy) to go through this extra step.
I also need to know if Tony Z can still do the ADAT transfers. Tony, Devin would Fed Ex you the tapes and you would have to fed ex them and the wave files back to him, so he can get thing down to a 24 track count. Is that possible? He will send them to me and I'll mail them out to all the mixers. Jim Dugger offered to post them for download for you folks who can take advantage of that. Jim is that still possible?
The rest of you mixers need to chime in and indicate whether you are still up for the exercise, so sound off if you are still in. I don't want to put everyone through all the work unless we have a decent amount of folks still interested. take care Logan

Well, personally I'd be ok with getting more than 24 tracks, since I could just submix them myself.

But if there are participants who would be unable to handle it, then it would seem fair to keep within the 24-track limit.

As for overall interest, yes, you can still count me in.

Still game here. The extra tracks don't bother me at all. The more the merrier right?

    Peace,

I'm not crazy about the submix idea (just as I would be on a paid project.)....what would be submixed exactly?

    Either way I'm in tho.

The problem is that some of the participants can't deal with more than 24 tracks. Devin would do the minimal, combining some Bk vocals and making some returns mono instead of stereo. Take care Logan

    I'm still in.

Unfortunately I'm one of the participants who are limited to 24 tracks (What was the final track count of this song?). It wouldn't be an even playing field, but I wouldn't object to sending the sub-mixed tracks only those who needed them; and sending the full track count version to those that preferred it. Personally it would just make me work a little harder to overcome my limitations!
