Maybe we've just come to the fact that technology has not yet achieved the perfect sounding equipment yet!!

Well, it's not like we're not trying....

Heck, we've got something like 250 standalone preamps now, not counting all the ones in the consoles. Can we try a little harder?

Fortunately for all of us ... it has ... and please you may have to sit down for this one ... is called the ubiquitous analog human ear. Moreover, coupled with the rest interval of silence in a piece of music as the basis of comparative measurement, this is should be quantified in a controlled lab environment compiling and comparing ear listening of silence intervals Reference CD from as many pro engineer, mixer, and mastering sources across the Internet as possible. This gene pool should take care of the race, ethnicity, gender, etc variables on a level playing field if you will.

    See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rest_(music) for technical details.

If Lynn can kindly get this project started thru completion, the CD should sell for at least $39.99 on Amazon.com. No kickbacks for me. This one is free of charge, because thats the kind of seed faith guy that I am!

This topic makes me feel warm and fuzzy....no wait....it was just gas!

Isn't "radio" and "harsh" the same thing, or am I mislead.?I thought we were looking for, "This sounds like a record!" not..."This sound like multiband compression and bad transmission". Of course not all radio stations are like that, definitely not the digital ones...but still.
