    Hi Rich,

Where did you buy your disc? I tried the core-audio place. Strange people. I get idea it's someone operating out of a basement!

Core sound is owned and operated by Len Moskowitz....Taperssection.com...type his name in the search bar, and youll see. Len also has a name for his own brand of "High end Binaurals" which are DPA 4061s butchered and terminated into miniplugs for tapers who want to "stealth tape" concerts....he also makes the coresound 24/96 mic preamp which is widely used by concert tapers..

Fine-- YOU may have had poor customer service. I have had 100% positive customer service.

    Hey Guys,

I didn't say that they had bad customer service. Actually, they offered to lend me a shneider disc until one came in. But, it was strange that thier address is only a couple towns over, and I could not stop by to pick up.
Just a little odd, thats all.
Rich, did you like the disc in a concert hall?

My experiences with Len at Core Sound have been very good. I have his Mic2496 preamp, his PD-Audio CF, and a matched pair of DPA 4060 mics that I bought from him (with standard microdot connectors and an adapter for the Mic2496), and his service has been very good. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again.

It's probably a good time for us to explore who is using "Jecklin" and who is using "Schneider", and why.

I notice on the MBHO pricelist that the Schneider is more expensive.

Anyone have experience with the two?

    Best regards,

The Schneider disk is only advantageous over Jecklin in playback..schneider sourced material gives a better approximation of binaural
recording when listened to through headphones.....other than that 1 thing..jecklin is far more useful....note that the schneider has an outward extension to approximate the human head......you would get similar results using HRTF....
