I would describe B as accurate, but enhancing the intimacy of the tone, not grainy, a wider smoother frequency response. Overall it seems like it is drippimg with more quality.
Preamp A, seems sterile and unfocused in comparison; plus I get ear fartigue from it. I'd need to EQ, compress, and re-mic position quite a bit to get this to work.
I could work with either of these preamps very nicely, but Preamp B would be a natural for my acoustic tastes.
