The Preamps

 

Here's what it looked like in the control room. It was quite a rush sitting in front of so many fine preamps.

First stack--Daking, Manley, Oram MWS, Vintech, Earthworks, API

 

Second Stack--Great River, Langevin, Audio Upgrades, Hardy M-1, dbx 386, Aphex, Grace, Focusrite 430, dbx 786

 

My Focusrite ISA-110s, designed by Rupert Neve and signed by him. These were the first Focusrite modules in Nashville when they were purchased in 1987.

The inscription reads "Lynn, with every blessing, Rupert 23 May 96"

 

Third Stack--ART, Cranesong Flamingo, Millennia HV-3, Avalon, DW Fearn, Sytek, Buzz Audio

Fourth Stack--Presonus, GML, Amek 9098, Focusrite Red 1, Millennia M-2b, Neve 1081 with Martech sitting on top.

 

Fifth Stack--Mackie 1604 VLZ Pro, Meek (which was not auditioned) and VacRac.
